My Top 3 Books for Ambitious Women
I am an avid book reader!
I used to read easy fiction and the occasional thriller but I made the decision to move to books that have a purpose, books that I can learn something from. I now have a mini library going on in my office and I love it!
When I started reading books that had a purpose or message, I noticed my mindset changing. I felt more confident in my abilities as I was learning things about myself and how to change my behavioural patterns.
I want to share with you my Top 3 Must Read Books for the Ambitious Woman.
Coming in at Number 1…
The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks
The Big Leap is a New York Times Bestseller and for a reason! In this book, Gay teaches us about Upper Limits and how to work in your Zone of Genius. When I first heard this I thought ‘What the hell is a Zone of Genius?!’ and dismissed it as a bit airy fairy. But, I was recommended the book and told to give it a go and man, I’m so glad I did! Being aware of your Upper Limits and when they come into play – priceless.
A close second at Number 2…
Stop Saying You’re Fine by Mel Robbins
Mel Robbins is one of Americas top radio/TV personalities and this book is to the point in its manner. If you haven’t watched Mel’s TED talk, get on You Tube and I guarantee you will want to read this book after listening to her. If you feel like you are stuck in a rut and don’t know how to get out of it, this book is for you.
And last but by no means least in at Number 3….
The Confidence Code by Katty Kay and Claire Shipman
One of the things I see over and over again is women who simply lack confidence. This book is a must read if you feel you need to work on your confidence. They interviewed women from all different industries to find out why there is an epidemic of under –confident women and how we can overcome it.
If there are any books that you think would be a great add to this list, let me know!
